To create the exception rules of multiple choices:

Click the Test Design button and then select the Options tab:
You can set different exception rules for each question there:

Multiple -- If select Multiple for Q_1,
TestAnyTime® V3.7
will record a tag everytime when more than one answer choices are detected in Q_1
(that means only single answer choice is allowed for Q_1).

Missing -- If select Missing for Q_1,
TestAnyTime® V3.7
will also record a tag everytime when no answer choice are detected in Q_1 (that
means no missing answer choice is allowed for Q_1).
To create the exception rules of fixed text length:

Click the Test Design button and then select the Question tab:
A Test Questions window opens. In the Validation tab, there are several options available to make. First of all, however, we often leave the Information Type unchanged:
In line with the Name of Candidate, we select All Characters for the Data Type:
To set an exception (or validation) rule for a fixed text length, we select = in the Comparison field, and then enter the length of the text. We enter 4 for our Name of Candidate here. Then click OK to leave:
Note: To delete an exception (or validation) rule, double click the number of the rule and then click 是(Y) in the confirmation dialog:
